Taking a car for repairs makes both women and men anxious. Dani says "there's some kind of stigma associated with car mechanics. Alot of people just aren't aware of what's involved in Transmission repair these days".
Today's Automatic Transmissions, particularly those with front wheel drive , overdrive and computerized controls are extremely complicated. There are more parts in today's automatic transmissions than in the average vehicle's engine. It is this combination of complexity and mechanical, hydraulic and electronic technology that make today's automatic transmission's so expensive to repair.
